This is an uprated Heavy Duty 3 piece clutch kit for the Austin Healey Sprite MkI, MKII 948 (9CC Engine) and MG Midget MKI 948 (9CC Engine). This clutch pressure plate is uprated from the standard 6 springs to 9 springs, this will give you a great clamping force but without hurting the clutch pedal feel. Some people think the little 948 doesn't need a heavy duty clutch but some of these little motors can really put out the power and need a heavier clutch. Please double check your engine 948 engine (which will have the engine markings of 9CC) the clutch disc has the size of 158mm or 6 1/4 inches with a spline count of 10. . Also the release bearing has a different height compared to the other years of cars. It has a height of .775 inches from the top of the pivot to the carbon face. It is very important that you have the correct clutch fork (2A3406 or 22A219) that was used on the Sprite and Midget to insure proper clutch release.
